MEDIA TRAINING – IT ISN’T ALL BAD NEWS!
MEDIA TRAINING – IT ISN’T ALL BAD
NEWS!
Every organisation has a story to tell, how it was created, grown, developed as well as the series of successes along the way. Telling the good news is a powerful way to build customer confidence and puts credit in the bank of goodwill when times get tough. Too often good news isn't harvested and used with the same energy that goes into managing less positive stories. Whilst
I do a lot of work helping organisations deal with bad news, I am pleased to
say that much of my work is also about helping them tell positive stories and the
good news.
A great case in point is I have been
working alongside the team at the RAF Museum both at their London and Cosford
sites as they play their part in the RAF100 celebrations. The centenary of the Royal Air Force has been marked all around the country culminating in major national celebrations in London.
The story of the RAF is told through the
exhibitions and displays at the two RAF Museum sites. The increased level of
interest in the RAF as it celebrates its centenary has also meant many media
opportunities for the museum. The recent investment in the sites means both
sites are a great family day out with lots of interesting exhibits and hands on
activities and really worth a visit.
I’m really pleased to have been a part of helping
them tell their story!
